Biography in brief Mr. Kid Batchelor Since Kid started spinning disc some fifteen years ago (1984) he has been variously described as a prophet among disciples, and by DJ magazine as "near legendary" and "The best known European DJ"; Mixmag. Acclaimed by those in the know as the founder and sire of the UK House and Garage phenomenon. Kid Batchelor continues to shine as a prophet in a sea of disciples, an originator master and translator. Thousands spin and mix tunes, but only a few create the expression, character and atmosphere that communicates the deepest understanding and passion that lies deep within the coveted depth of vinyl groove. Kid has worked for Kiss radio, Choice FM, ORF Austria. He is the man behind dance act Bang The Party; residencies have included, Echoes, Matis, Da Da Da, Paradiso, Pascia ( Rimini), From Classics on, Goa (Rome), Soul II Soul, Confusion de Londra, RIP, Hedonism, Ministry of Sound, The Cross and others in London . Kid had recently been concentrating on the development of a television series 'culturebomb', he wrote, presented and produced the pilot episode. Wearing his other hat Kid has been writing a column for Pride Magazine and articles on the Sony playstation and the culturebomb web site. Kid will be back on the decks very soon at Fabric, a new development for London's clubland.
