Supernova (Sony BMG/Italien) SUPERNOVA made their debut in May 2003 with "Afterbeach”, an exceptional collection of tracks, most of which unpublished, which immediately captured the public’s interest. BEST SOUND together with RICORDI decided to publish the first single from “Afterbeach”, the cover of "Save a Prayer". The track was a radio hit and made several compilations, including “Suavis” and in April 2006 “Montecarlo Nights New Classic - Vol.2. A proof of their popular appeal “Sud Sound Sinphony”, another track contained in "Afterbeach", was inserted in Giorgio Armani’s compilation, “Armani Caffè - Vol.2”, sold worldwide, while “Morning’s Vibrations” ends the tracklist of the first compilation accompanying COOL MAGAZINE one of the biggest selling magazines the in South America. This is just the beginning. In the summer of 2003 the record label Dreamworks released in the United States two remix versions of the first single “I give you take” by the soul singer Maria: one bearing the signature of the great international dj Armand Van Helden, the other by SUPERNOVA themselves. In June 2004 RICORDI released SUPERNOVA’s second single “A Different Role”, accompanied by their first video in rotation on several musical channels throughout the summer. They have also carried out numerous electro chill experimental productions for the independent label Music Cube. To this day SUPERNOVA have dedicated a lot of their studio time to productions related to the CLUB scene, some of which have also been published by their independent label, STEAKY RECORDS founded in February Febbraio 2005. But this is not all... SUPERNOVA throughout the years have had success participating as special guests in several clubs with their extremely distinguished and innovative LIVE-SET. SUPERNOVA’s live set stems from the artistic needs of a dj and a musician to play in clubs not just using records and not just records produced by others. Their Live sets are exemplary of the new style coined by the duo: a surreal timeless sound collage where overdoses of funk, eighties sampling, metal, hip hop are mixed, produced and played in an electro-house, tech, minimal and tribal key. Listening to them, seeing them, dancing to them is a must! Their live-sets are a mix of di rock, funk and acid house producing a sound which becomes a style, brand! Currently SUPERNOVA also host a radio programme “NEW ON CLUB”, written and produced by them for a well-known Radio in Tuscany. The programme has a great following on Fridays and Saturdays and obviously centres on the world club culture. Their new album (for Sony Bmg) which they have been working at for months is due to be released in September 2006 ... |
